Josh King is General Counsel of RealSelf, a company that helps consumers make better decisions about aesthetic medicine by offering in-depth information, a free Q&A forum, and user reviews of treatments and providers. He is responsible for the company’s legal affairs, government relations, privacy, security, and human resources. He is also a frequent writer and speaker on First Amendment, media and professional ethics issues.

Prior to joining RealSelf in 2018, Josh spent over a decade as General Counsel of Avvo, helping the company grow from startup to the web's leading consumer legal resource. Josh has also worked in the wireless industry, in a mix of legal and non-legal roles, and started his legal career doing civil litigation in the San Francisco Bay Area. RealSelf is part of the coalition to get federal anti-SLAPP legislation passed because RealSelf believes that such legislation would benefit businesses and consumers.
